Alison Kleven Memorial Scholarship

It is with great sadness that the UNM Radiologic Sciences Program announces the passing of Alison Kleven on Thursday, August 12th. She was a valued member of our team since December 2018 and will be missed.

Alison was a native New Mexican. She was not only a faculty member from the Radiologic Sciences program but also a 1996 graduate. Alison worked as a Nuclear Medicine technologist for over 20 years, spending most of her clinical career at the Lovelace Medical Center. She was dedicated to the career path and loved to share her enthusiasm for Nuclear Medicine with students. She was the New Mexico TAG (Technologist Advocacy Group) representative for the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI). She was also a dedicated community member and attended the Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Advisory Council (MIRTAC) annual meetings. She was a champion for the Nuclear Medicine department. She provided education and excitement about the field to students.

She was always willing to listen to students and provide advice, information, and support that would boost up the students. She will be missed by her family, friends, colleagues, and students.

We have established this scholarship in memory of Alison to support students pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Science Medical Imaging.
