Anne Taylor Design Education Scholarship
Anne Taylor, Ph.D was a University of New Mexico (UNM) regents emeritus professor and Association of Collegiate School of Architecture (ACSA) Distinguished Professor who was with UNM for 36 years. She taught in the Department of Art Education in the College of Education as well as the School of Architecture + Planning. In addition she was an Associate Dean in the Graduate School for two years. Dr. Taylor’s passion and legacy of teaching Pre K -12 levels the importance of design education, continues with the Anne Taylor DesignEducation Scholarship.
This scholarship will support an architecture student who is interested in teaching design at the Pre K -12 levels or wants to research, write about or design a learning environment as a studio for children and test its effect on occupants. The student will be enrolled in cross interdisciplinary design education at UNM.
