David L. Craven Memorial Endowment in Modern and Contemporary Latin American Art History

The purpose of the fund is to ensure that the scholarly pursuits and area of research in Modern and Contemporary Latin American Art History of Distinguished Professor David L. Craven are firmly ensconced in perpetuity at the University of New Mexico College of Fine Arts.

Recognized by his peers as one of the most informed and incisive art historians in the world, David Craven’s immense knowledge and publications led to his recognition as a world authority in the fields of 20th Century Art from Latin America, Post-1946 Art from the USA and Critical Theory as well as Philosophy of Methods in Art History and Visual Culture.
