Diane Adamo Memorial Scholarship Fund

Diane’s journey into health care started nearly 40 years ago when her brother, Sam Adamo, urged her to move from Pittsburgh, to New Mexico, where he lived, for a change of scenery. She graduated from UNM CON in 1984 and began work at St. Joseph’s Medical Center. One week later, Diane died in an auto accident.
Her grieving family established the Diane Adamo Memorial Scholarship in Nursing shortly thereafter. “Diane would have been supportive of helping students achieve their education. She was the kind of person I would like to be. There is no better way to remember Diane than by advancing education and helping people.”
The Diane Adamo Memorial Scholarship in Nursing supports UNM College of Nursing Student’s tuition, book, and/or fees. The student must maintain satisfactory academic standards and progress towards a degree.
