UNM Mariachi Ensemble

The UNM Mariachi Ensemble is a music performance course where students will learn to interpret various genres within the mariachi repertoire. Each student is expected to have a minimum level of proficiency on their instrument (violin, trumpet, guitarron, harp, vihuela, guitar) with the goal of interpreting and performing various genres within the mariachi repertoire. Mariachi history and culture will be discussed in class.
