Melissa Vargas Memorial Fund

Melissa Vargas served The University of New Mexico for more than two decades, providing great leadership to many across campus. Her passion for higher education, combined with her ability to bring people together to accomplish great things made her a positive force at UNM. She will be greatly missed by many and in her memory, gifts may be made to support the UNM Women’s Resource Center.

About the UNM Women’s Resource Center

The UNM Women’s Resource Center (WRC) is a place of advocacy, support, and safety for all members of The University of New Mexico and greater community and is one of the first college-based women centers in the country. The WRC’s goal is to support students by providing a variety of services, programs, resources and opportunities that are directly responsive to their needs. The WRC has been and will continue to serve as a safe haven and space of empowerment to students while they are on campus and after they leave to pursue their careers
