Professor Ruth A. Luckasson Endowed Scholarship in Special Education

Professor Ruth A. Luckasson, JD is a tireless advocate for citizens with developmental and intellectual disabilities. The passions of her professional life are the pursuit of social and legal justice as well as the advancement of educational quality and equality for individuals with disabilities. She has held positions of leadership in organizations devoted to advocacy for these individuals and has been recognized for her outstanding work in the field of special education and the establishment of legal protections for some of our most vulnerable citizens.

This endowed scholarship is intended for academically outstanding students interested in pursuing a career in Special Education devoted to working with individuals with severe intellectual and developmental disabilities.
