Scott Wilkinson Music Theory and Composition Endowed Scholarship

Scott Wilkinson Music Theory and Composition Endowed Scholarship supports undergraduate and graduate students in the Department of Music. Scott Wilkinson was Professor Emeritus at the UNM Dept. of Music, Composer and recipient of the John Donald Robb Trust’s Robb Award. Before coming to UNM, he was the Managing Editor at music publisher Carl Fischer, Inc. In Albuquerque, Scott owned and operated The Music Mart until 1968. At UNM, Scott was a professor of Theory and Composition and also coordinated the Composer’s Symposium for a time. He was a published composer. After his retirement, he remained supportive by establishing the Scott Wilkinson Music Theory and Composition Endowed Scholarship. Scott Wilkinson passed away in December of 2021 at the age of 99.
