UNM Art Museum Acquisitions Fund for Diversity and Equity
The UNM Art Museum seeks to increase diversity in the permanent collection. Funds generated will be used to acquire works of art by and about women, LGBTQ artists, and artists of color, particularly Native American and Latinx artists. The first acquisition in the fall of 2019 will be photographic portraits by of transgender and gender nonconforming individuals by Jess T. Dugan from two bodies of work: “Every Breath We Drew” and “To Survive on this Shore.”
The UNM Art Museum welcomes first-time donors and long-term supporters and hopes to grow the collection in ways meaningful and relevant to its audience.
