Ryan Mummert

Ryan Mummert, Senior Vice President at Morgan Stanley, is a native of Southern California who moved to New Mexico to play football and further his education at the University of New Mexico. He was an All-Conference athlete and graduated cum laude in Economics. During a college internship, he found his passion for banking and finance.
Mr. Mummert has been in the field of financial services since 1996 and focuses on corporate and individual financial planning. He is part of an elite group of professionals at his firm with the designation of Family Wealth Director and is a Senior Partner of Horizon Wealth Management at Morgan Stanley. His team specializes in financial transition for family owned businesses and individuals retiring from large public and private corporations. Horizon Wealth Management has a long history of working regionally in the southwest providing unique and customized investment solutions to support their clients goals and dreams.
Mr. Mummert has kept his passion for the University and believes in contributing to the local community. He is past President of the Lobo Club and the Alumni Letterman’s Association of UNM, has served on several coaches search committees, and has contributed to other short term projects for the University. In addition to these activities, he and his wife, Brandi, are Alexis de Tocqueville members of the United Way.
Mr. Mummert is a competitive triathlete and has completed multiple IRONMAN distance races; while his wife is an avid tennis player. They have two sons, William is currently enrolled at UNM and Brayden is a football player and track athlete in high school. Mr. Mummert and his family are proud to call Albuquerque home and he looks forward to continuing to be of service to the local community and UNM.
