Art Dept. Betty Sabo Endowment

The Betty Sabo Scholarship Endowment for Studio Arts was established to honor the life and work of prominent New Mexico artist and dedicated UNM Foundation and UNM Alumni Association Board Member Betty Sabo (1928- ). The fund supports graduate students in Studio Arts with an emphasis in painting and drawing, or sculpture. As testimony to Betty’s lifelong dedication to community service, a preference for students engaged with the community is preferred. For gifts of $5,000 and above, an original bronze sculpture (pictured) which was created by Betty herself is bestowed upon the donor.
