College of Nursing – Judith Harris Global Health Endowment in Nursing

This endowment was created to give students at the College of Nursing experience in providing healthcare to underserved populations throughout the world. The range of experience that students gain – from interviewing, to assessment, to treatment and follow up – is vast. Quite literally, their classroom becomes the world, as our students have traveled to places like Kenya and Bolivia in order to apply their knowledge and bring the gift of managing one’s health to communities that otherwise may not have access to care. This endowment will provide financial support to our students who choose to participate in this global health opportunity.
